How We Protect Our Fences From Rusting

A rusty fence seems like all but an inevitable prospect over time. The elements eat away at iron fencing and slowly oxidize them over time. Fortunately, Hercules Custom Iron fences use a custom design in order to fight the effects of the elements, which gives them increased durability and longevity.

Our state of the art powder coating facility gives our iron fences an edge over the competition. Manufacturing is a four step process which involves:

  • Sand-blasting the material to a smooth finish
  • Application of an anti-rust inhibiting sealer
  • Treatment of the metal with a zinc rich primer for a high quality finish
  • Application of a polyester finish coat, which offers 8-10 mils of protection

We take great pride in manufacturing the highest quality, anti-rust fencing available. Rusty fence not only looks bad, but it weakens the fence and poses a safety hazard. Ask us which one of our many types of fencing can fit your fencing needs, and check out some pictures of our powder coating facility here.
